Canada Cape Spear view
Cape Spear, located on the Avalon Peninsula near St. John's, Newfoundland, is the easternmost point in North America and Canada. The lighthouses are a popular spot for watching the very first rays of sunlight hit the continent.
Photography Tips
It’s also worth going a little further, past the upper lighthouse. The view changes every few meters, offering new opportunities for creative shots. Depending on the weather, a long exposure might be worth trying. While wide-angle shots are ideal, you should have your telephoto lens ready in case whales or dolphins appear. - Like in my second picture! ;-)
Travel Information
There is a large parking lot, and you can reach the first lighthouse via a flight of stairs. From there, just follow the well-trodden paths.
