Canada Whale watching from land in Grates Cove
Starting in late June, whales can often be spotted in the bay. It’s usually the mothers with their calves who are feeding or playing there.
The marked spot is the viewpoint with the fishing boat coming in. The other photo was taken right by a cliff nearby.
Of course, there’s no guarantee the whales will be there. But it’s definitely worth stopping by if you want a chance to see them. A good clue is the large number of seagulls, which are almost always found near the whales.
