Czech Republic Chateau Oslavany
Monastery and Chateau Oslavany. First there was a Cistercian monastery, and in 1583, the monastery church was repaired, and at the end of the 16th century, the Althans built a Renaissance castle with two arcaded wings and 102 sandstone columns in front of the western wall of the monastery. In the 17th and 18th centuries, the Althans founded a music seminar in Oslavany, where the Italian composer Carlo Abbate worked.
It was devastated during communism. Now it is gradually being repaired and is a truly fascinating complex.
