Finland Riisitunturi
Riisitunturi National Park is a national park in Finland, located in southeastern Lapland within the municipality of Posio. It was established in 1982 and covers 77 square kilometers. The park is situated in a mountainous area. This national park in eastern Finland is famous for its spruce trees, which bend under the weight of the snow in the middle of winter.
Photography Tips
Definitely get there at sunrise for golden hour, it's fantastic. Check local drone regulations first. You might need to obtain a permit from the local authorities.
Travel Information
From Rovaniemi (a major tourist city in Lapland): About a 2-hour drive (160/165 km) on Route 81 southeast to Posio, then follow the signs to Riisitunturi. You need to hike from the parking, but the hike isn't steep. You can do several hikes in the area and most of them are flat !
