France Alabaster Coast at Saint-Valery-en-Caux
Saint-Valery-en-Caux is an attractive coastal resort with a port that is directly dependent on the tide. A pretty lighthouse stands on the breakwater at the entrance to the port. The cliffs tower above everything. The Alabaster Coast stretches from Le Havre 120 km to the north-east of Normandy. The alabaster-coloured chalk cliffs, up to over a hundred metres high, are the source of its name.
