France Uchon, Les rochers du Carnaval

The Uchon massif rises to 684 meters. It offers a beautiful view of the bocage and, beyond it, the Morvan massif. On a clear day, you can even see the Chaîne des Puys.

But it is best known for the geological features found at its summit. Indeed, up there are no fewer than 20 large granite boulders sculpted by rain and wind. These are granite chaos formations, a geological phenomenon rare both in Burgundy and in France.
