France St Chély du Tarn waterfall from the bridge
The waterfall of St-Chély-du-Tarn is a small but very beautiful waterfall in the village of Saint-Chély-du-Tarn (in the Gorges du Tarn). In 2025, the rock holding the waterfall collapsed and changed the shape of the waterfall but it's still very beautiful to visit.
Photography Tips
Bring a medium to telephoto lens to play with compression. You can also bring a polarizer to avoid sun glares ; it's better to visit on a cloudy windless day to get a nice reflection. This place doesn't get much sun as it's deep between the gorges so sunrise/sunset doesn't make much sense here.
I woudl still choose to come early and off-season, to avoid the crowds. It's a very popular place in summer as many tours offers kayak activities and this beach is perfectly placed in the river trail to stop having lunch. If you want to have the place to yourself, shoulder season and early morning are perfect.
Be careful while standing on the bridge, people tend to drive fast even tough the bridge is short and narrow.

Travel Information
From Millau, take the D187 towards Sainte-Enimie, then follow the road through the Gorges du Tarn. Continue to Saint-Chély-du-Tarn, cross the bridge and park near the village. From the parking, go back on the bridge to capture the waterfall from up.
