Fort la Latte ( Château de La Roche-Guyon ) between Cap Fréhel and Saint-Malo, Bretagne, France,
Travel Information
Different opportunities at the beach or from the GR34.
From the parking lot, it's about a 15-minute walk down towards the Fort (at a leisurely pace).
Opening hours of the Fort vary. It’s best to check the official Fort La Latte website.
Take the path down to the Fort. The GR34 public hiking trail crosses in front of the ticket booth. Turn right.
After a short walk, a path leads down to the beach. That’s a good spot. Alternatively, stay on the hiking trail. From there, you’ll find two other good spots with different foregrounds.
If the gate to the private property of the Fort is closed, you can still get back out. To do so, ring the bell in front of the gate.
Entry through the gate is not possible outside of opening hours.
However, the GR34 is freely accessible. There is an entrance to it from the parking lot—across from the driveway for cars. Since this route is a bit longer, allow an extra 5–10 minutes.
