St. Bartholomä is a picturesque pilgrimage church located on the western shore of Lake Königssee in Bavaria, Germany. Built in 1697 in Baroque style, it features a distinctive triple-concha design with red onion domes. The church is accessible only by boat or a challenging hike. It serves as a popular starting point for alpine hikes and is renowned for its stunning setting against the backdrop of the Watzmann mountain.

Photography Tips

For photographing St. Bartholomä Chapel, visit early morning or late afternoon for soft light and fewer crowds. Use the boat for unique water angles and include the red domes and lake reflections in your shots. A wide-angle lens and tripod help capture the landscape and long exposures.
