Particularly interesting is the sculpture of naked light bulbs that seems to float above the escalators to the tracks. It has the shape of a pyramid, only it hovers from the ceiling in an upside-down position, as if it were a large insect. The installation was created by Gerd Winner in 1989, when lines 3 and 4 were extended to the north-west of Cologne.

Photography Tips

If your camera allows you to shoot with ISO 1000 - 1600 you don't need a tripod.
Look for times when not so many people use the subway. I was there in the afternoon and there were only people when a train arrives.
