The Protestant Lutheran Marktkirche St. Georgii et Jacobi is the oldest parish church in Hanover's old town. The church is mainly constructed from red brick. The three-nave hall, five bays long, is enclosed by a significantly larger main choir with a 7/10 polygon and side apses with a 5/10 polygon.
