Germany Memmertfeuer lighthouse, Juist
The Leuchtturm Memmertfeuer on Juist is one of the island’s most photogenic and quiet hidden spots, surrounded by dunes, salt marshes, and the untouched landscape of the East Frisian coast. Located on the western side of the island, the small lighthouse stands isolated within the wide natural scenery and perfectly reflects the calm atmosphere Juist is known for. Especially during low tide and windy evenings, the area around the lighthouse feels incredibly remote and authentic. The combination of rough grasslands, sandy paths, and the historic structure creates a beautiful contrast against the endless North Sea horizon.
Photography Tips
Use the gras as a foreground to bring more dynamic in the frame.
