Germany Sambesi in Hannover Zoo
The “Sambesi Landscape” is modeled after an African savanna. It is named after the Zambezi River. A replica river winds its way past the spacious enclosures of cattle egrets, South African crowned cranes, and white storks, as well as antelopes, flamingos, hippos, Mendes antelopes, giraffes, and rhinos. As one of the zoo’s main attractions, cable-guided boats cruise along the water (except in winter), bringing visitors very close to the animals in some cases.
