Greenland Eternity Fjord Mountains

The mountains of Eternity Fjord (Evighedsfjorden) rise almost vertically from the water, forming a dramatic landscape of jagged granite and gneiss peaks, deep valleys and hanging glaciers. Several summits approach 2,000m, while the fjord itself winds for roughly 100 km through one of the most remote mountain regions of West Greenland.

Classic compositions make the most sense here. When the boat is moving, make sure to have a fast enough shutter speed to get sharp results.

The mountains are best experienced from the water, with boat excursions travelling into Eternity Fjord from Maniitsoq. There are no roads into the fjord. Early mornings can only be seen here on a multi-day trip.
