Greenland Evighedsglacier Details

The Evigheds Glacier lies at the head of Evighedsfjorden (Eternity Fjord) in remote West Greenland, where glaciers flowing from the Maniitsoq Ice Cap meet a spectacular landscape of steep granite walls and deep blue water. The glacier is part of a largely uninhabited fjord system, with several glaciers descending into or above the fjord and creating an exceptionally wild Arctic setting.

Dont just focus on the overall image of that impressive place alone. The structures of the ice, crevasses, light and everything also comes together at the little things. If your drone has a zoom, or generally your camera, make use of it and try to edge the light with the upper part of your lens. If you so so, you get beautiful shiny light into your frame, almost dreamy.

The glacier is best reached by boat from Maniitsoq, roughly 140 km north of Nuuk. Local boat operators run excursions into Evighedsfjorden, while expedition cruises can also visit the glacier. The access is weather and ice-dependent.
