Hungary Window at Fishermans Bastion

This view of one specific part of the Fisherman´s Bastion can be found on the first floor of the wall. There are two staircases to get up, free of charge in the early morning hours. I took this image a few minutes before sunrise (blue hour).

Photography Tips

I came here in the early morning hours to avoid the crowd and within the blue hour to capture the blue and orange colors. I used the opening of the smaller tower to create a frame featuring the greater tower at the end of the wall. You can also do this by framing the Hungarian Parliament across the Danube river.

Travel Information

This tower is part of the castle district. The public transportation system in Budapest is excellent. You can use the tram, busses, cabs, or call yourself an Uber to get around quickly. Almost no need to have a rental car when staying within the city center.
