Iceland Öxararfoss Waterfall

  • Please log in or sign up for free to see the GPS coordinates & weather for this photo spot
Öxararfoss in Iceland is a little but very beautiful waterfall with extremely clear water. It isn't that far away from Reykjavic or the Golden Circle, which makes this spot a perfect start for your Iceland trip.

Photography Tips

Get down to the level of the water and use an ND filter, because the deeper you can get with your camera, the higher the waterfall looks and you really don't want this waterfall to look smaller. Take care of yourself, because some of the stones are wet.
And don't place your tripod on the wooden gangplank, because this is usually shaking if people are nearby.

Travel Information

There is a parking place nearby and there is another one to the north where you can walk a little between a nice canyon. The way to the Öxararfoss waterfall is newly created out of wood boards, which makes this waterfall extremly easy to access, even for people that can't walk that good anymore.
