This unreal-looking river can be found in the South of Iceland and is only looking this good from the air. You better bring your drone otherwise it's not really worth a visit.

Photography Tips

You want to use a polarization filter on your drone to get rid of reflections. Especially on a sunny day, it's hard to capture the vibrant colors during the day. I would say the best time is an hour after sunrise or just before sunset. Overcast days are nice as well since it's bright but you won't have shadows on the river.

Travel Information

Try to find a parking spot that isn't too far away from the spot you want to photograph from the air. Use a satellite image to plan your stops and safe drone batteries by parking close by. These roads belong to farms. Be aware of this and don't block the roads or enter private property.
