This spot is near the Hvalnes lighthouse and should be photographed with your drone if you visit the Orange lighthouse anyway. Its also very close to the black sand beach, which is also worth stopping by and going for a walk!

Photography Tips

A drone will get you the best angle here, with the road in the foreground and the uniquely shaped mountains in the background. Be aware of strong winds here. You can wait for a car to pass by if you want to add some sense of scale to your images! I almost lost my drone once at this location.

Travel Information

You can park your car at the marked parking lot. The road towards the car park is gravel but can be accessed by most vehicles. When traveling in Iceland, it is always nice to check www.safetravel.is for travel information.
