This calm river of a glacier foothill, which widens briefly, is ideal for photographing structural fields. The best time for this is between May and August.

Photography Tips

Make sure that you have a valid flight license with you. Please remember to check the winch beforehand. In my opinion, top down is the best way to photograph the river.

Travel Information

Near Selfoss, a gravel road leaves the small road, which you can drive with a 4x4. In the summer of 2023, there were no signs prohibiting the route here. Drive to the parking mark mentioned.
