Iceland Vík í Mýrdal Church
It's THE most famous church of Iceland. It's a small white church with a red roof, located on a hill above the village of Vík. The church was built in the 1930s and has a nice view of the village, mountains and ocean.
Photography Tips
Golden hour will definitely bring intense colors, especially if you're lucky enough to get epic clouds.
Bring a wide angle lens (14-24mm) to capture the lupine flowers in the foreground as well as the church and mountain. Lower yourself in the flowers to get a nice blurred foreground and frame the church.

Travel Information
The closest big city is Reykjavík. From Reykjavík, drive east on Route 1 (also called the Ring Road), towards Vík. The drive is around 180km and takes around 2,5 hours. When you arrive in Vík, the church is easy to see on the hill above the village and well signposted, you can park at the GPS pin. Make sure to not park too close to the church so your car doesn't end up in your frame.
