The city was founded in 1569 by the Emperor, Akbar, and served as the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1571 to 1585. High over the city is the mosque and palace.
There are many buildings so you can spend a lot of time here. Everything from wide angle to 200mm allows you to capture the buildings.
Fatehpur Sikri is about 30-40 minutes from Agra so an easy day trip. The Mosque is very large and while you need to take off your shoes they will allow you to purchase bedroom slippers to walk around.
