Travel Information

We traveled here at the wrong time of the year in August which is still a dry season. The waterfall then was only 1/3rd the size of what it should be, so we focused more on portrait photography instead.

For landscape photography, try to visit during the monsoon season from September through March where the falls will exhibit the most of it's beauty in lush greens and its beautiful show of power.

From Bandung, leave at around 11 PM on a leisure drive to give you an ample time when you should arrive on site at around 3 PM.

Follow Waze/Google map to "Air Terjun Citambur" or Curug Citambur. Waze will overshoot the location on the map, so towards the end of the waze direction, watch for the large welcome sign and gate to your right. You won't miss it.

From the gate, you will pass through a small deep emerald colored lagoon with one good looking long dead tree, which on a second thought now, I should have parked my car and take a long exposure shot.

Entry per person is RP10,000 (around 50 cents) per person and a little boy will come to collect a Rp 5000 parking fee when you park your car. It's only 100 meters easy walk to the waterfall from the car park.
