Almost only local tourists visit the place. People are nice to give you space for shooting with the tripod.

Photography Tips

- Ask the guides if they have a tripod that they can carry for you on top.
- Use GND Filters (better Reverse Filter) so that the crater comes more to shine
- Wide Angle an Standard Lens recommended

Travel Information

Contact a reliable travel agency in Bandung to pick you up from any hotel in the city to bring you to the top spot. They should know when to pick you up at the correct time (about 2 am).

Travel time from Bandung by driver is about 2h in the morning and 3h to be back in Bandung (because of traffic). You can take the public transport bus at the barrier or ask the drivers to bring you to the parking place on top. From there you have to hike about 10-20 minutes.
