The path from Compatsch (Compaccio) towards Saltria at Seiser Alm (Alpe di Siusi) offers some really nice views like this one. I am not sure about the mountains in the background, but it looks like this could be Seceda already.

Photography Tips

The best time is around sunrise or sunset, maybe even during the night when you want to photograph the night sky or even the milky-way.

Travel Information

The best advice for photographers is to get an appartment on the alp itself, because it's not allowed to drive up there during the day from 9am to 5pm, which also applies to anybody who is staying up there except for the day of your arrival. The most important part though is, that parking up there costs 17 Euros at the main parking, so if you are a visitor you need to park at the first parking space, which is free from 6pm, but you need to walk an additional 15-20 minutes.
