Perfect place for landscape photographer. Especially long exposures during sunrise and sunset give this perspective a better depth. So you ideally have a few different ND filters with you, depending on the time of the day you want to take the photo.

There is a parking lot at 2200m ü.M. But the road fee is 30 € to get up there. Mobilehome is 50 € for 24 hours.

Wow, this shot is just awesome Wolfgang. Do you know the name of the mountain that you can see in your photo? Because for others it would be much more helpful to name the spot like the actual place instead of "Mordor", even if I agree that it definitely looks a little bit like that ;-) Thank you very much and hope you had a great time in Italy!
