This is one of the most important spots to visit in Italy. Assisi is a beautiful city with lots of ancient buildings and the important Basilica of San Francesco d'Assisi and the monastery of the Order di San Francesco. Inside the basilica, you will see beautiful frescos all over the wall and the ceilings.

Photography Tips

Taking pictures inside the basilica is not allowed but no one cares. Tripods of course are forbidden. Just be sure you have got a fast wide-angle lens with you and take your photos secretly :)

Travel Information

Once you are up the hill you have to walk a lot. There are steep cobble stone streets so you should not have trouble with your legs...
