This is when you'll catch the iconic peaks glowing in the first light, with the lake perfectly still to create a flawless reflection. Early mornings also offer a high chance of atmospheric mist floating above the water. For a strong composition, position yourself near the wooden pier on the shore and use it as a foreground subject to add depth and scale to the massive mountains in the background. A tripod is highly recommended for the early low-light conditions.

The spot is highly accessible and located right by the main road (Via Misurina) leading up to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo toll gate. There is a convenient dirt parking lot directly on the shores of Lago di Antorno, making it just a few steps from your car to the prime shooting locations. No technical hiking is required to reach the lake.
