Italy Dürrensee (Lago di Landro)
Dürrensee (Lago di Landro) is a small Alpine lake next to the road between Cortina D' d'Ampezzo and Dobbiaco (Toblach). It is known for the nice orange coloured larch trees during autumn and the beautiful reflections of the Monte Cristallo massif (especially during sunrise). It might be crowded during the daytime.
Photography Tips
You should take your pictures during sunrise or sunset. As this lake is easily reachable, a lot of tourists will be around.
It is possible to shoot all year round, but:
- Because you are facing the north side of Monte Cristallo, you probably will get better light during the summer months;
- If you want to shoot the orange colored larch trees, October / November will be the period to visit the site.
