Italy Sunset view over Agordo
I found this spot during a tour in the Dolomites while the sun was setting. The photo was shot in January. Three different and separate layers of thick fog/clouds were formed, while the mountains were above all three layers in the background. This is one of the most spectacular sceneries I have seen and it was difficult to capture in a single two-dimensional image.
Photography Tips
A telephoto lens is a must (something above 70mm). The probability of such cloud formation is high during December/January, so visit during winter.
Travel Information
A very small parking space is available at the spot on the side of the road, but be aware of traffic.
