This Löschteich, or mountain fire pond, is a hidden gem along the Diamantiditurm hike. Surrounded by alpine meadows and framed by towering peaks, the pond’s still waters perfectly reflect the rugged Diamantiditurm, creating a breathtaking scene that rewards the 1.5-hour hike.

Photography Tips

Arrive in the morning or late afternoon when the light is soft, and the pond’s reflections are most vivid. A wide-angle lens will allow you to capture both the reflections and the dramatic landscape surrounding the pond. Watch out, there's a fence around the lake,, so try to bring a lens with an aperture of min. f2.8

Travel Information

Parking is available at the trailhead, with the hike taking approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. The trail offers plenty of scenic viewpoints along the way, making the journey as rewarding as the destination.
