Italy Matera viewpoint (drone)

Amazing viewpoint over the whole old city of Matera.

Check local drone regulations first. You might need to obtain a permit from the local authorities. The best light is usually early morning.

From Matera, you can drive towards the Jazzo Gattini visitor centre and leave the car there, then continue towards the viewpoint by foot or with the park shuttle. The park currently has an access ticket, which is 10€ from April to October and 7€ from November to March, and the ticket includes access to the trails and the shuttle service to the belvedere. You can also try to park directly at the belvedere, that's what I did, but sometimes the road can close for safety reasons.
