Italy Basilica Pontificia San Nicola
The Basilica Pontificia San Nicola is one of the most important churches in Bari, in Puglia. It was built in the 11th century and is dedicated to Saint Nicholas. Inside, you can see beautiful old stone architecture, the crypt and the tomb of Saint Nicholas.
Photography Tips
To capture the entirety of the basilica, step outside with a wide angle lens and go on the other side of the street. You might have to do a panorama to capture the full building. Come early in the morning to avoid having people in your frame and a nice light.
Travel Information
From Bari city centre, you can go by car, but the area around the basilica is in the old town and some streets are restricted. It is better to park outside the historic centre, for example at the suggested parking pin, and walk 15/20 minutes.
