There are so many unknown treasures at Kyushu. This hidden gem is located outside Beppu and you can find the 25 meter high waterfall in the deep jungle.

Photography Tips

Use some leaves as a dynamic foreground. A person down at the pond can give you a nice scale. Open your aperture for this framing.

Travel Information

Park at the marked lot. From here you cross the street and follow the small path on the right side of the river. After around 50 meters is a sign that shows you the hiking trail to the waterfall. You need around 20 minutes walking time. Take care! After rainfalls and especially in the morning it is really slippery.
