God for a lot of different styles of photos like long exposures, sunrise/sunset photos, or captures with the Milky Way. Tripod is a must and you will get wet. Many interpretations are possible at this spot as determined by season, time of day, and weather conditions. This location is one of the most visited in New Zealand. The beach is teeming with people during the high season. Take your time, because there will always be people running in your picture.
Travel Information
A small parking lot is only a 5 minutes walk away. It marks the starting point of the "Lake Wanaka Hike/Bike Trac".
