If you are after epic scenery and solitude, this is a great spot to spend a few days. On the way you have views of the rugged Dragons Teeth. It is also a great place if you like Macro photography. Thers is a DOC hut at the south end of the lake.

Travel Information

Get first hand information at the Takaka DOC office, and then at the famous, historic Langford Store in Bainham.
It is not everyone's cup of tea to get to this location, about 7 to 8 hours walking from the start of the track.
