Lake Marian is a beautiful mountain lake surrounded by huge sharp mountains. Its blue color amaze me a lot. Even it is a great spot for a picnic before heading back down the trail to the parking lot.

Photography Tips

I like the blue-hour mood at this lake a lot. For some nice sharp pictures I would bring a tripod and try longtime exposures. Especially if the water is not that still this mode might help you to make the water smoother. Don't forget to turn off your camera's stabilization and use manual focus.

Travel Information

This 6.1-km out-and-back trail with 400 meter of elevation is a moderate hike and just a bit more difficult, if it's rainy and muddy.

Parking spot is directly at the trailhead.
