New Zealand Camping spot Brewster Glacier, Mount Aspiring National Park
Brewster glacier is one of my favorite spots on the South Island of New Zealand. Camping in front of the glacier surrounded by massiv ice and huge snowy mountains is an experience that you will not forget.
Photography Tips
Take advantage of the golden hour at sunset, the spot is magical for this.
If you are surrounded by other tents, ask the people if it is okay to fly your drone. Have a valid flying license with you.

Travel Information
This 11 km out-and-back trail with 1300 meter of elevation is a very challenging hike and requires a huge certain level of fitness. From the parking lot you hike to Brewster Hut. The trail is easy to find and moderate doable with a hard physical effort. From here navigation and trail up to the glacier are hard. Please be super careful.
Around the glacier lake are some camping spots.
Always inform yourself about the weather conditions and if there is snow on the track. Probably bring prepared equipment for those sections.
If you want to stay the night in the Brewster hut you need to reserve the hut before you go. The department of conversation as a professional homepage with all important informations: https://www.doc.govt.nz/
Parking spot is directly at the trailhead.
