New Zealand Views above Liverpool Hut, Mount Aspiring National Park

The area around the Liverpool Hut offers stunning views into the valley of the Mount Aspiring National Park.

Next to the views this charming hut is a perfect place for mountaineering lovers how want to stay over night in the mountains.

Go out for sunrise and use the first light at the hut. After it you can hike up the trail for a bit that the sun disappears behind the mountains again. You will get the second chance for a nice glow in your picture.

It really depends on you how much gear you want to bring with you on that long and difficult tour. My tip would be to ask yourself how much experience you have in the mountains and what fitness level you have before you decide how much kilogram for camera gear you want to pack and carry with you.

Start your hiking at the Rasperry Flat Carpark. This 31,9 km out-and-back trail has around 1288 meter of elevation and is a very long and challenging hike. The last two kilometers are very steep and sometimes slippery. You definitely need experience in the mountains to get to this hut. Don´t go in bad weather and check this almost in advance.
