New Zealand Unnamed beach near Ship Creek, West Coast
This unnamed beach is a real treasure on the West Coast and not easy accessible. Once you reach the coastline you will have this massive beach all for yourself. It is a wild one, with lots of driftwood that has been washed up and large rocks scattered on the sand or sticking out of the water.
Photography Tips
Sometimes in can be very windy here. So take care on your gear and avoid to switch the lens. I've used the 24-70mm here, which works very well. Use the light in the evening for some nice shadows, which the rocks throw into your photo.
Travel Information
Next to the New Zealand State Highway 6 is a very small path where you can park your car at the end of it. Attention: Don“t drive into that road if it was rainy before. You could stuck with your car in the mud.
From the parking spot there is a very small walking path that leads you to a river. You need to cross it. After the crossing the way leads you straight to the big beach.
Bring some sandfly spray with you. Here are millions of them.
