New Zealand Kea, Milford Track

Up high on the Milford Track, you will find cheeky Kea which come pretty close and being super interested (also in your stuff).

Be fast in shutter speed and be patient. These birds are very cheeky and never do what you expect them to do.

In order to reach this spot, you would need to book yourself one of the rare spots on the Milford Track. Bookings for the season opening super early and you better keep track of that. Sometimes it's possible with heaps of luck to grab hands on a last minute cancelation.

Reaching the McKinnon Pass marks the highest point of the track. If the weather is good up here (which is rarely is), def. use any chance you can get hands on.
