New Zealand Private Hut at Stilwell Beach

This small little beach is quite and often overlooked by hikers. It offers a small little hut (which is private) and some shady places to hide from the sun.

If there is coastal rivers formed which make their way through the beaches towards the ocean, these can be superbly good used as a leading line, leading towards your main subject.

This is part of one of the Great Walks of New Zealand. You would really need to book yourself huts in advance in order to stay at either the huts or the campsite. This beach here is easy to reach after a good portion of hiking. It can also be reached as a day trip without any reservations.

A common method to get here instead of hiking in and out is to take a boat taxi to Anchorage Bay and start the hike back from there.
