Hellestø is one of a number of lovely beaches along the coast of Norway south of Stavanger, but definitely my favourite. It's more open with bigger waves than some beaches.

Photography Tips

There are lots of compositions to be made here of the rocks, dunes as well as epic views including more sky from the higher ground to the north of the beach.

Travel Information

Very easy to get to from Stavanger, no more than 30 mins by car from the city centre. Plenty of free parking at the back of the beach, but will be very busy in summer.
