The Rjukandefoss is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and photogenic waterfalls in Norway. Everything about the Rjukandefoss is perfect. The amount of water in the Hemsila River is quite impressive. The location and surroundings of the waterfall are beautiful. Last but not least, the green/blue color of the water is the finishing touch for a perfect picture.

Photography Tips

You can get some cool perspectives with a drone at this location. Be aware of your surroundings. Don't put anyone else in danger. Stay away from the spray and trees. A polarization filter might be nice to have!

Travel Information

Parking is nearby and free of charge. Very short hike to get to the viewpoints. You can cross the river via a small suspension bridge. Be aware of slippery rocks and steep canyons. Stay away from the edge.
