Norway Sylvartun
The Centre for Folk Music and Folk Dance at Sylvartun was created as a 3-year project to ensure a better visibility of the intangible heritage from Setesdal for the locals and for visiting guests. Setesdalsmuseet is responsible for the daily operation and professional development of the centre, in cooperation with Setesdal spelemannslag. The museum has provided instruments and information about important practitioners from Setesdal, as well as a fiddle craftsman’s workshop, and a Jew’s harp smithy.
