Norway Mefjordvær Stone Beach
Mefjordvær is a small fishing village on the island of Senja in northern Norway. It lies along a scenic fjord and is surrounded by steep mountains and dramatic coastal landscapes.
Just outside the small fishing village, there’s a spectacular rock formation on the beach. When the sea is rough, the waves crash against it perfectly. It’s a truly magical place with sometimes dramatic lighting.

Bring a tripod, a polarizing filter, and a neutral density filter for great long-exposure shots.
You can also take great shots here with a drone.

Travel Information
As often in Norway, it’s very difficult to pull over on the road. There’s a small pull-off, I marked it with a “P” on the map. It’s big enough for a car, and you can park there safely. From there, you have to walk down to the cliffs. It’s very wet and can be slippery. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and be careful. Also watch out for the surf—don’t get too close.
