Norway Bergenhus Fortress, Bergen
Standing at the entrance to Bergen’s harbor, the Bergenhus Fortress dates back to the mid-13th century. It served as the royal residence when Bergen was the capital of Norway. The complex is a blend of medieval stonework and later Renaissance and post-WWII restorations.
