Norway Trollstigen from the air

To photograph the Trollstigen without traffic, arrive very early (this shot was taken around 7:15 AM) or after 8 PM. Cars disappear later in the evening.

For drone shots, a large parking lot down the mountain provides an excellent, safe starting point to launch.
