The whole Algarve region gets crowded in summer. If you want to shoot without getting tourists in your frame it is best to opt for winter. Before shooting you might want to check the tides. According to the tides, different compositions will be possible.
For shooting this seascape a ND grad filter is a good choice, perhaps also some regular ND filters to smooth the sea movement.

Travel Information
There are two bigger places to park your car.There are two bigger places to park your car.
There is a car park at the end of the road towards the beach. From here you will have to walk about 10 minutes or so to get to the best photo spots. This spot is very close to the "Heart of Algarve" spot, basically you are just looking in the opposite direction. Bring sturdy shoes to walk on the the gravel and rock surfaces. To get to this point you will actually have to climb over a fence. Be very careful with your gear and yourself as you are standing right on the cliff side.
