At the Miradouro do Teleférico das Achadas da Cruz, an old cable car leads steeply down to an almost abandoned town. Along the imposing cliffs one feels in another time. One person still lives there, running a small cafe on his roof terrace! Must visit.

Travel Information

Go by car until Miradouro do Teleférico das Achadas da Cruz. Then take the cable car down. Attention: Note opening and closing times. Down near the "ruins" you have to activate the cable car yourself to go up again. After shutdown, you just come back up a very extreme arduous trail!
